Baishui River

This super crystal mountain river gets its name Baishui (white water) because of its unpolluted water, and the white riverbed and terraced terrain which are made up of marble and limestone.

The first impression Baishui River gives you would be "crystal and clean". Ice-water, melted into springs from Snow-cap mountains, are being filtered by rocks, and then runs into the Baishui River, consisting of its main source of water. Standing on a bridge or a dam, facing the rushing white water, you will be intoxicated with immensurable space to dream away. Even if in summer, when you set your feet into the river, the ice-cold feeling will make you remember the best quality of the spring water in the river.

The second impression Baishui river gives would be "magnificent and miraculous". The river water cascading waterfalls, with lush vegetation nearby and snow mountains far away as its background. The river water wanders from deep into the snow mountain, you can trace it to the upstream either on foot or horseback. You can surely obtain yourself a sense of relaxation through enjoying the splendid sceneries along the river, searching about the initial state of the river water under the snow mountain, or tasting the naturally purified water of the river.

Baishui River is nearby the road from Lijiang to Yanshanping, so tourists can take a visit on their way to Lijiang or Yunshanping.

There are gorgeously-dressed yaks along the Baishui River, tourists can pay to ride on them, or take photos with them, only 5 Yuan for one time.
