Family of 4 had a great time in Beijing
We are a family of 4, which includes 17-year-old twins. We just completed two weeks in China. We started in Beijing, then went to Xi'an, and then to Guilin, and we ended in Shanghai. We had such a great time in Beijing, thanks to Nina! We felt really lucky that we were assigned to Nina because she is such a caring person and is passionate about her job. She took great care of us and made sure that we were able to see everything we wanted to see. Nina went above and beyond to help us even after the tour was done. She was a godsend because we have two people with celiac disease, and they can't eat gluten, so you can imagine how stressful this was for us, our first night trying to navigate finding food. Nina took care of us and took us to a hot pot restaurant and made sure to explain to them the importance of no soy sauce or wheat. She was very careful when ordering our food every day and made sure to find food that was enjoyable for the members with celiac. We greatly appreciate how well she took care of us. Beijing was a wonderful experience and a great start to our trip. We highly recommend Nina as a tour guide.

Frequently Asked Questions by Our Clients
1. Do Singaporean passport holders need a visa to travel to China?
Currently, Singaporeans can visit China without a visa for up to 30 days per trip for purposes such as tourism, business, transit, and visiting friends and relatives. The only requirement is a valid ordinary passport.
2. When's the best time to visit China?
China is perfect for travel any time of year. Each season has its unique scenery and activities depending on different destinations. Typically, April, May, September, and October offer the most comfortable weather across many popular tourist destinations in China.
For a better experience, we recommend avoiding public holidays like Labor Day (May 1-5), National Day (Oct. 1-7), and Chinese New Year to stay away from large crowds.
Read China Weather for detailed information.
3. What are the entry requirements for China?
All foreigners entering China are required to fill out a form called the China Arrival Card. You can complete this online before arriving in China and print it at the airport upon arrival. Alternatively, you can fill it out at the airport after you arrive. Submit the completed paper version of the arrival card to the immigration officer.
After passing through immigration, you will need to go through customs. If you are carrying items that exceed the duty-free allowance or are prohibited, you should go through the red channel for declaration. If you have nothing to declare, proceed through the green channel.
For more details, read the China Entry and Exit Requirements.
4. How do I buy a Chinese SIM card during my trip?
With a local SIM card, you can use many convenient apps like Didi and Meituan just like a local. Plus, using a local SIM card is much cheaper than international roaming.
You can buy a China SIM card (with a service package) from one of the three main providers in the China Mainland: China Telecom, China Unicom, or China Mobile, either at the airport or at a street outlet.
Notes:
1. You must use your real name to register and activate a China SIM card. This requires an ID document, usually your passport. Every personal mobile number in China is linked to a name, making anonymity very difficult.
2. Before purchasing a physical SIM card, ensure your phone has a slot for it and is unlocked—not tied to a specific foreign network. Otherwise, consider buying a SIM card with a new phone in China or using an eSIM.
5. Are there high-altitude areas in the itinerary? How should we handle altitude sickness?
Generally, areas above 2,500 meters can cause some people to experience altitude sickness symptoms.
If you feel unwell, please inform your guide or travel advisor immediately. In high-altitude areas, we have portable oxygen bottles available in our vehicles, and our guides are very experienced in this regard; they will provide timely assistance.
6. Can we use WeChat or WhatsApp to communicate? Who should I contact for help during the trip?
Our travel advisors are happy to communicate with you via WeChat or WhatsApp. If you need any assistance, feel free to contact your advisor or guide. We will send you the tour guide's contact details about 3 days before your departure.
If you can't reach your travel advisor or guide, please call our service hotline at +86-773-286-5632.
7. Can you provide guides who speak both Chinese and English?
Yes, our tour guides are local Chinese who are fluent in both English and Chinese.
8. What type of vehicle will be provided?
We’ll arrange a suitable vehicle based on your group size and luggage, ensuring comfortable extra space. All vehicles are air-conditioned, have comfortable seats, and are equipped with seat belts for every seat. If you have specific vehicle requirements, please let us know.
9. Can you provide a wheelchair for the elderly group members?
In most cities, we have wheelchairs available as backups. It's usually not a problem to arrange them if booked in advance. We’ll also arrange suitable vehicles that can accommodate wheelchairs for your comfort. If you need someone specifically to assist with the wheelchair, please let us know.
10. Can I change or cancel my booking? What is the cancellation policy?
Yes, our private tours are flexible and can be adjusted to your needs. You can change the dates, hotels, and other itinerary details even after booking, as long as you inform us in advance. Minor changes can also be made during the tour.
If you need to cancel, you will receive a 100% refund on payments made to China Travel if you let us know 3 weeks before departure. The refund may exclude penalties from hotels and transportation, with each fee clearly itemized.
Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for more details.
