Tour Itinerary
The tour will begin and end at your hotel in Shanghai. Tongli is an over one thousand years old town. Like the Venice of the East, Tongli water town is one of the most picturesque water towns near Shanghai. It takes about 90 minutes to drive from Shanghai to Tongli. Your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Shanghai and transfer you to Tongli with a private, air-conditioned van.
Tongli is small in size but could be the most beautiful place with its ancient arched bridges, famous residential houses, blue-stoned alleys, and an unhurried canal lifestyle. You will walk through narrow lanes and take a canal boat along the waterways, which is a great way to see the unique canal lifestyle. You will fully enjoy the scenery of the water town and experience local life.
Many gardens were built in the Ming and Qing dynasties to dot Tongli. You will see Tuisi Garden, the entrance fee of which is included in the tour. Lunch will be at a local restaurant in the town.
After the relaxing one-day tour in Tongli, you will return to your hotel in Shanghai.

- An extra fee will be applied if you need to be picked up or dropped off outside of Shanghai's downtown area, like from or to airports or cruise terminals.
- The canal cruise is about 20 minutes, and the boat is a small boat for a maximum of 6 passengers. We’ll book the whole boat for you.
