Is February a Good Time to Visit Shanghai
February is the off-peak season for tourism. When you visit attractions in Shanghai, there aren't many people. You can easily enjoy the sights you want to see and the entertainment you want to try. The temperature is higher than in January, making it relatively comfortable.
However, it's best not to go during the Spring Festival holiday, which usually falls in late January or early February. During this period, some attractions will be temporarily closed. The streets are quiet with few pedestrians and vehicles because many Chinese people go back to their hometowns to celebrate the festival. But public transportation, large hotels, and restaurants operate as usual.
