Requirements of Flight to Hong Kong Form China's Mainland

Since Feb 6, 2023, all travel restrictions for traveling between Hong Kong and the Mainland are lifted.

Travel to Hong Kong by Train

In addition to flying directly to Hong Kong, you can also reach by high-speed train from China's Mainland. The high-speed rail links the Chinese mainland and West Kowloon Hong Kong, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong express rail resumed operation on January 15, 2023, after three years of suspension due to the COVID-10 pandemic.

Trains from Guangzhou and Shenzhen to West Kowloon were the first to run between the mainland and Hong Kong, there are over 77 trains operated daily along the route.

Trains from Beijing, Changsha, Chongqing, Kunming, and other Chinese mainland cities to Hong Kong will resume soon, but dates are unknown.

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Shuttle Bus

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge shuttle bus provides a convenient way of transportation between the Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong.

On February 6, 2023, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge shuttle bus between Hong Kong and Zhuhai resumed offline ticket service. Passengers can buy tickets at the port, or pre-order tickets on their WeChat official account (WeChat ID: hzmbus) or the official website (www.hzmbus.com).

Travel to Hong Kong by Ferry

Travel by ferry to Hong Kong from Macao, Greater bay area of Zhuhai, Shekou consider as the fastest way, it is suitable for passengers going to central Hong Kong or to Hong Kong Airport.

From Macao

Passengers can take a speedboat between Hong Kong and Macao in just one hour, and the speed boats running between Haitian Terminal of Hong Kong Airport, the Passengers Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui, the Hong Kong-Macau Terminal in the Shindh Centre, and the passenger terminal in Macao.

From Zhuhai

Travel by waterway from Zhuhai Jiuzhou Passenger Port to Hong Kong has long been one of the popular ways between the two places. There are two daily round-trip ferries from Jiuzhou Port to Hong Kong (Hong Kong Macao Wharf).

From Shekou

Passengers can arrive at central Hong Kong and Hong Kong International Airport by ferry from Shekou Port. Getting to central Hong Kong in 30 minutes and to Hong Kong International Airport in 30 minutes.

Do I need PCR tests or rapid antigen tests (RATs) upon arrival and during my stay in Hong Kong?

From overseas: All inbound persons (aged four or above ) are required to conduct a RAT (can be self-administered) within 24 hours, or a negative PCR test was taken within 48 hours prior to boarding the flight. A health declaration form must be completed and submitted prior to departure, the health declaration is valid for 96 hours.

From China's mainland and Macao: PCR tests or rapid antigen tests (RATs) are not inquired, but need to fill out a health declaration form through the China Custom Website prior to departure.

Do I need a visa to go to Hong Kong?

Nationals from 170 countries can visit Hong Kong and do not need a visa to enter Hong Kong with a maximum stay of 90 days. You only need a visa if You plan to stay for more than 90 days – obtain an extension with the Hong Kong SAR Immigration Department.
