How to Buy Hong Kong - Changsha Train Tickets

You can purchase Hong Kong - Guilin high-speed train tickets online 28-30 days in advance in the following ways:

• China Travel provides convenient and efficient train ticket booking services.
• Purchase tickets on the China train website: www.12306.cn.
• Purchase tickets on Hong Kong MTR official website: www.mtr.com.hk/highspeed.

Buying Tickets at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station

There are 23 ticket counters at the West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong, which can be purchased by valid passport, ID card, or Mainland Travel Permit. The pre-sale period is a maximum of 28 days, and ticket sales are stopped 45 minutes before departure.

The ticket counters accept Hong Kong dollars, credit cards, Alipay, and WeChat.

Passengers also can purchase tickets at the ticket vending machines at the West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong, but does not accept purchases by passport, and accept payment by Hong Kong dollar only. Each purchase can not be more than HK $1000.

Buying Tickets at Changsha South Railway Station

Passengers can purchase a Hong Kong - Changsha high-speed train ticket at the ticket counter in Changsha South Railway Station, and pay via RMB in cash, Alipay, and WeChat, and tickets can be purchased with passports or other valid certifications.

Children Tickets

From January 1, 2023, children under the age of 6 are free of charge. However, one adult is only allowed to bring one child for free and does not occupy the seat alone, if traveling with more than one child, the others must buy child ticket(s).

Children aged between 6 and 14 can enjoy a 50% discount on the published ticket price; full-price tickets should be booked for those over 14 years old.

The age of children is calculated according to the date of travel. Purchase the child's ticket with a valid ID card/passport.

Hong Kong West Kowloon High-Speed Train Terminus

The Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is the only high-speed train terminus connecting Hong Kong and the mainland. It is located between the Kowloon MTR Station and the Austin MTR Station in Kowloon Culture District and covers an area of 11 hectares.

How to Get to Hong Kong West Kowloon High-Speed Train Station

From/to the City

There are two subway lines stop at the Hong Kong West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station: Austin Station (柯士甸) on MTR West Rail Line, Kowloon Station (九龙站) on Tung Chung Line / Airport Express Line

From Austin MTR Station: 5-minute walk through the overhead bridge or pedestrian tunnel to West Kowloon Station.

• Hong Kan Line: first train 6:16 am, last train 0:46 am
• Tung Chung Line: first train 5:57 am, last train 1:07 am

Kowloon MTR Station: 10-minute walk through the overhead bridge or pedestrian tunnel to West Kowloon Station.

• Dongyong Line: first train 6:04am, last train 0:53am
• Airport Line:first train 6:09a,, last train 00:522am

From/to Hong Kong Airport

Travelers coming from Hong Kong International Airport can take Airport Express Shuttle Bus which operates from 06:15 to 23:00 to get to Kowloon West Railway Station.

Taxi

Passengers can also get to West Kowloon Station by taxi and get off at the underground B1 level. The Taxi fares are calculated by meters

Leave/Arrive in Hong Kong

The West Kowloon Terminal implements "Two Inspections at One Place", it means the entry and exit procedures of the Mainland and Hong Kong can be completed at the Hong Kong West Kowloon Terminal.

Leave Hong Kong

Ticket inspection and security check at B1 floor of West Kowloon Station - Go straight to B3 floor through "Hong Kong Port Area" and "Mainland Port Area" on the same floor - go to B4 floor and leave Hong Kong.

Arrive Hong Kong

Changsha South High-Speed Train Terminus

The Changsha South Railway Station is the terminal station of the Hong Kong Changsha Train in the Changsha section, The train station is located on Huahou Road, Yuhua District. 12 kilometers southeast of Changsha downtown, 10 kilometers away from Changsha Station, and 19 kilometers from Changsha Airport.

Passengers can reach by metro line 2 or take a Taxi to get to Changsha South Station.

From Central Changsha

Take metro line 2 from the central to Changsha South Railway Station and get out from exit 3.

• Opening Hours: 6:30 am - 9:30 pm

From Changsha Railway Station

Take metro line 2 to Changsha South Railway Station in 20 minutes, or get there by Taxi in 30 minutes, the taxi fee costs approximately 30 Yuan.

From Changsha Airport

The fastest way from Changsha Airport to Changsha South Railway Station or vice versa is to take the Maglev Express and reach the final terminal in 20 minutes.
