Buying Tickets at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station

There are 23 ticket counters at the West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong, which can be purchased by valid passport, ID card, or Mainland Travel Permit. The pre-sale period is a maximum of 28 days, and ticket sales are stopped 45 minutes before departure.

The ticket counters accept Hong Kong dollars, credit cards, Alipay, and WeChat.

Passengers also can purchase tickets at the ticket vending machines at the West Kowloon Station, but does not accept purchases by passport, and accept payment by Hong Kong dollar only. Each purchase can not be more than HK $1000.

Buying Tickets at Changsha South Railway Station

Passengers can purchase a Hong Kong - Changsha high-speed train ticket at the ticket counter in Changsha South Railway Station, and pay via RMB in cash, Alipay, and WeChat, and tickets can be purchased with passports or other valid certifications.

Children Tickets - Updated on Jan 20, 2023

From January 1, 2023, children under the age of 6 are free of charge. However, one adult is only allowed to bring one child for free and does not occupy the seat alone; if traveling with more than one child, the others must buy child ticket(s).

Children aged between 6 and 14 can enjoy a 50% discount on the published ticket price; full-price tickets should be booked for those over 14 years old.

The age of children is calculated according to the date of travel. Purchase the child's ticket with a valid ID card/passport.

Hong Kong West Kowloon High-Speed Train Station

The Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is the only high-speed train terminus connecting Hong Kong and the mainland. It is located between the Kowloon MTR Station and the Austin MTR Station in Kowloon Culture District and covers an area of 11 hectares.

How to Get to Hong Kong West Kowloon Train Station

From/to the City

There are two subway lines stop at the Hong Kong West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station: Austin Station (柯士甸) on MTR West Rail Line, Kowloon Station (九龙站) on Tung Chung Line / Airport Express Line.

Dongguan Train Station

Dongguan Station is located in Shilong Town and can be reached by Metro Line 2. People in Shilong, Chashan, and other town streets can take the subway to Dongguan Station. It is convenient to take the high-speed rail to Hong Kong via only three train stops, and it takes about an hour to get to West Kowloon.

Dongguan South Railway Station

Dongguan South Railway Station is located in Tangxia Town and was put into use by the end of 2021. From January 15, 2023, Dongguan South Railway Station will have direct links to Hong Kong, and the trip will take only 40 minutes.

The station is 50 kilometers away from the center of Dongguan, 3.5 kilometers from the center of Tangxia Town, and 1.5 kilometers from the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway. Passengers can take bus lines 916 and 918 from central Dongguan to get there in 50 minutes.
