Tour Itinerary
Your journey begins with a convenient pickup at your hotel lobby at around 7:00 am. Then we will transfer you westwards to Simatai. We will arrive at Simatai at about 9:45.
This hiking starts at Simatai West (Houchuankou Pass) and proceeds westward to Jinshanling (Zhuanduokou Pass). Simatai is a perfect place to hike as it is away from crowds and on a rugged section. We provide hiking poles for our customers.
You will stand on the Great Wall to view significant scenery. Jinshanling is famous as one of the most photogenic sections of the Great Wall. So it is definitely a fantastic place to take photos.
The hiking takes about 3 hours. Start your lunch at around 1:45 pm in a local farmer's restaurant. The restaurant is at the entrance to Jinshanling, and offers traditional dishes made with fresh vegetables and meat, like fried tomato with egg; roasted eggplant with potatoes and peppers, and stir-fried bok choy.
After lunch, enjoy the scenic ride when heading back to Beijing. We will transfer you back to your Beijing hotel.
